End of The Line

This shot was taken a couple weeks ago along Mentone Beach.  Some of my images from that day have inspired me to make a book of the beautiful sites that surround Port Phillip Bay.  This image was taken on my new Sony Nex-6 which I am absolutely loving.  I’m usually a Canon girl but after using my partners Nex-7 in WA a few months back and seeing the great results from such a small, light weight camera…there was no question…I had to have one.  Don’t get me wrong, I still love and use my Canon but the Nex-6 is my current walk around camera these days.  The Canon will come out for my property jobs but almost everything else, will be shot with the Nex.

For processing effects on this image, I used Lightroom 5 for basic adjustments then I merged three different exposure images into Nik HDR Efex Pro then for the final monochrome look, I used Nik – Silver Efex Pro 2.

Private Jetty

Ever since my walk along the Millionaires Walk in Sorrento, I’ve been wanting to write a little blog with some nice photos about it. I haven’t gotten the chance to do this just the way I’d like to, so in the meantime, here’s another photo of an old jetty that I really had to watch my step on.

Mordialloc Pier

This scene was captured on New Years Day along my local pier in Mordialloc. There had just been a heavy rain fall which made the wet refliections on the pier pop a little. I love going out to this pier and there’s usually always something going on, whether it be local fishermen casting for their catch of the day or young kids doing flips into the chilly water during summer. This afternoon seemed to be a quiet one which is always nice too.
